Pupu Hydro Walkway

Scenic forest loop following an old hydro power scheme.

This is a more demanding outing than the nearby springs walk, with a steady climb and narrow sections beside the historic water race. Wear shoes with good grip because roots and shaded surfaces can stay slick after rain. Set aside a few hours and visit Te Waikoropupū Springs separately rather than expecting the tracks to connect.
