Golden Bay visitors can approach the park from Wainui or drive the winding final section to Tōtaranui for beaches and day walks. Some Coast Track sections have tidal crossings, so check the tide timetable before choosing a route. Water taxis and guided trips are busiest in summer and are worth arranging before the day.
